My fellow Christians and Conservatives,
It is now 2026, and the lead technologists of our digital age say the singularity has finally arrived. AGI is happening. Why should we listen to these men? Why should we give their dreams and forecasts any concern? Because they tell us we are in a Revolution unlike any that has even preceded us in the history of humanity, and they are the Revolutionaries. Because the President of the strongest nation in the world has given our future to this Revolution. Because like it or not, the tech industry does rule our lives and does guide our future. Just look at the past 2 decades since the Internet Revolution of the late 1990s and early 2000s. What has changed? Nearly everything. And so they say that an even greater Revolution is upon us, so it seems prudent to listen to their vision and hear what world they are working toward and what they plan to use this Revolution to accomplish.
If you are not convinced that a Revolution is upon us, please take some time to read my article on that topic, or if you prefer you can watch my two presentations on the Practive Security YouTube channel; the AI Revolution and The Developing Story of AI.
And who are these Revolutionaries? I have also written profiles about them and their vision in multiple articles, namely the one titled, A Dark Turning.
Believe it or not, like it or not, we are in the midst of a radical transformation in the story of humanity, and at its core is a deep darkness that has captured most people so that there is almost no resistance. This transformation is rooted in a deception that seeks total control of all human activity so it can redefine the nature of what it means to be human. These are not my paranoid delusions. This is the vision the Revolutionaries speak to us.
Recently, Elon Musk said of the near future that, “probably, none of us will have jobs,” meanwhile Google’s head of AGI research recently told high school students to give up on the idea of career and to forget college because within 4 years there will be no careers.
Indeed Elon is building a fleet of autonomous vehicles so that humans need not move things around, let alone themselves. He is building an AGI powered knowledge source called Grokipedia so that humans need not think or learn, so that the experts and wisdom keepers are the machines. He is building an army of robots trained to do every everyday task around the office and home so that human engagement is no longer needed in a practical sense. He is building human to machine interfaces so that we can interact with the world cognitively and consciously without needing a functional body. He is building a space fleet and ability to colonize other planets so that “human consciousness will be interplanetary,” and in his view immortal. He’s partnering with the Trump administration to leverage AGI to examine all functions, activity, decisions, technology, weaponry, and allocation of money by the US government to optimize them toward efficiency. He is pushing people to transfer the creative expressions of art, gaming, movie making, video editing, memory capturing to the work of AGI on our behalf. He’s even asking us to build personal and intimate relationships with AI personalities rather than with friends and family, promising that our AGI Companions will fulfill all our personal needs more effectively than any human can.
How will we pay for all this? How will we earn money to be able to buy the fund the things AI will do for us? How will we fund the businesses that need to produce the things we need? Elon’s plan is for universal income managed by the one AGI company that builds and distributes all things. You and I have heard this story before. Central distribution of resources, each according to his needs, based on the infinite productive capacity of the industry run by the central planners.
And he believes that all of this is good. He’s not alone. All of the AI Revolutionaries share this vision, as does the US President and his administration. And this vision is entirely anti-Christian and it is anti-Conservative. It is a vision of making for man a god and also remaking of man into god so that we can be ruled and cared for by our own creation and simultaneously free to wield god-like powers to satisfy our own whims.
Peter Thiel who is said to be a mentor and great influence over Vice President JD Vance, believes that AGI can push us deeper beyond what he called was the “pathetically weak” transgenderism movement of the Godless left. His vision that augments Elon’s includes using technology to achieve immortality and total transcendence beyond the current state of what it means to be human, in his words, “transforming the totality of who we are,” and saying that is made up of our heart, mind, body, and soul. They have a word for this, transhumanism.
Along with this dark vision, we have Sam Altman who believes that with AGI, the machines around us will be super orchestrators of every aspect of our life. He speaks of our AI Companions monitoring and listening to everything we do and say and experience, so they can record our story and anticipate what we will need or want before we realize it ourself. These anticipations, he says, will be answered automatically by the robots. More than that, he envisions that with AGI every individual human being on the planet will have instant and constant access to machines that will hold the collective knowledge, wisdom, and intellectual power of all of us combined - making every human being all knowing and capable of wielding that power to orchestrate a world populated by humans as mini-gods, so different from our present condition that we cannot even imagine what that new world will be like.
And we have Larry Ellison who seeks to harness AGI to cure all our diseases, manage all of our medical issues, and even continuously monitor everything we do so that any slip up can be automatically recorded, judged, and punished. He says, “Citizens will be on their best behavior because we are constantly recording and reporting everything that’s going on.” Ellison is working with President Trump to build an AGI powered national system of medical records so that any doctor anywhere can instantly access all medical records of everyone, and so the AGI can instantly diagnose our ailment and use DNA sequencing to build a “vaccine” for our illness as it manifests within our individual body.
On top of all this, we have President Trump who is also all-in on an AGI future. He has signed multiple executive orders to facilitate the visions of the AI Revolutionaries, including massive government funding to build AI data centers through operation Stargate which was announced his first week in office. He signed an Executive Order to make Larry Ellison’s medical records collection dream come true. He recently announced the creation of the Genesis Project which gave the US Department of Energy the mission of building an AGI model for the world, which the Department of War has described as an endeavor in Manifest Destiny and a technology that must be conquered and an outcome that must be achieved first and before any other nation on the planet, else we lose everything. Indeed, the language here is of one ring that will rule them all.
Think of what these men are proposing to us:
The end of all work of any kind
The end of learning and wisdom
The end of creativity and expression
The end of religion and philosophy
The end of sickness and death
The end of crime and war
The end of inefficiency and waste
All knowledge available to every man
All needs provided for by machines
Perfect management of government by AGI
Military superiority that cannot be challenged
One AGI to guide and rule the world
I’m very concerned about this vision, and I want to warn you of the danger, so that those with eyes to see and ears to hear can participate in both avoiding the damages to come, and seed a future recovery from it.
Will this all come to pass? That remains to be seen, but at this time there is almost no opposition. Indeed, the US President and his administration are wholly behind this, bringing Elon Musk, Larry Ellison, Sam Altman, and Peter Thiel into the administration as advisors, leaders, and facilitators. This Revolution is also being backed wholesale by the US technology sector, and more than 80% of US businesses have pledged to integrate AI into as much of their business as possible - from business operations to manufacturing to services to HR to hiring to strategy to research and development…everything. Even McDonalds is moving toward full AI-powered automation of their restaurants while WalMart and Amazon are moving to fully automate online orders, product inventory management, and distribution of sold products.
More than that, individual people are moving wholesale into the AGI world as fast as they can, asking Grok and ChatGPT for answers to questions, to validate the news and shared stories, to edit our pictures, to schedule our appointments, to plan our vacations, to give us parenting and relationship advice, to write sermons for us, to answer philosophical questions, to determine right and wrong, to write legal briefs and forecast judgements, to tell us when and how to plant our gardens, to translate languages so we don’t need to learn how, to think for us so we don’t need to learn, to diagnose our illnesses and review our xrays, symptoms, and MRI scans, to choose our replacement appliance, to shop for us, to manage our investments, to read and summarize reports and books for us, to write our papers, to do our homework, to write our code, to plan our projects…as fast as possible, as much of life as possible is moving to AGI.
And this is already having an effect - we are doing less of the things that define what it means to be human and we are increasingly separating ourselves from each other. Artists are being replaced, as are doctors, writers, software developers, machinists, distributors, technicians, advisors, planners, laborers, teachers, students, even Pastors and Priests.
In the era of a deep meaning and identity crisis that our culture is presently struggling with, what will it mean for us to be severed from those essential things that define us and give our lives purpose and meaning. What will we do? It’s a question at the very heart of our civilization and we ask it often of our kids, “what will you do when you grow up?” Even when we meet people for the first time as adults, we ask them who they are by finding out what they do. In the Christian world, we define our being based on the gifts God has given us individually in the place and time we exist and in the context of living His will in this world; living and being remade into His image through the transformative work of His Spirit within us, transforming us as we plod through this life. What will the Christian be if they cannot exercise their gifts because the world has been transformed and given all that it could possibly want and need, by machines of our own making?
Indeed, the words of Peter Thiel are telling. He seeks to provide us a new means for transcendence that finally does what the Christian story has promised to do. He seems to believe that by these machines, Christianity and the hope it offers, can finally be realized.
Think of that for a moment, and if you think I’m exaggerating, go listen to this interview with him.
I am not exaggerating or mis representing the vision of this Revolution. I’m simply telling you the whole story. This is what the people driving this transformation are telling us, and many great thinkers from across the Christian traditions are all warning us of this moment, indeed, some are calling this moment in the story of the West, suicide of a civilization. But far too many are being caught up in the deception. In fact there are many Pastors, Priests, and churches integrating AI into the activity of the church and administration of the sacraments. There are even many who are practicing necromancy; taking images and past videos of the deceased and using AGI to reanimate them via new videos in which digital puppets are presented in their image and speak with their voice.
Do you recall how J.R.R. Tolkien’s evil re-entered Middle Earth? It started with rumors that a necromancer was operating in a formerly sacred place that had long been abandoned. There is deep darkness here and you need to be very sober about this reality and very careful. Tolkien’s writings of the One Ring to rule them all seem eerily prophetic in our time, as do the many warnings C.S. Lewis gave us in his writings of Narnia and of the Ransom (Space) Trilogy and in The Abolition of Man. In fact, prioritize a reading of From Out of the Silent Planet, followed by Perelandra, and then That Hideous Strength. Start it tonight. You will find many of the AI Revolutionaries in the characters and institutions Lewis wrote of. If you trust that man to write of the essential truth of Christianity and of our relationship to God, then trust him in the vision he saw of the dangers that were ahead for him, and present for us.
And so I appeal to you, my fellow Christian and Conservative. Now is a time to be sober minded. Now is a time to think prudently and for Spirit-led discernment. Now is a time to build an ark to sustain the essence of humanity and to preserve the truth, because the West has abandoned it, but will one day need it. Christian author Rod Dreher wrote of a similar situation in his book Live Not By Lies as he described the multi-generational aspect of nations that fell to communism. He wrote of the priority of preserving culture, tradition, and truth in a world that is trying to snuff it out, because one day that iron curtain will fall and a new generation will rise that will need to be seeded with that preserved truth, so they can rise and thrive.
This is our current charge. To preserve the essence of the human story. To preserve the truth, because it is about to be eradicated.
But before leaving you to this, I would like to empower you with knowledge to help you combat the lies and temptations that will be thrust upon you in this age of great deception.
The most important thing you need to know is that artificial intelligence is not intelligence and it can never be. This is the great lie that we must combat, because it is the root of the deception at hand. I encourage you to take a moment to listen to this interview of Iain McGilchrist by Jonathan Pageau.
At the outset, McGilchrist provides us this perfect clarity: “The brain is not intelligence. It is a very complex structure. But the brain itself is not intelligent. What is intelligent is your consciousness.”
This is very keen because the entire theory of AI is founded on the hypothesis that we can build machines that replicate the cognitive processing of information in the exact manner as the human brain, but at a scale that far exceeds our physical capacities. But this is not intelligence. This is why we can say with confidence that the AI story is rooted in a lie.
AI and AGI and ASI are the next iterations of computer technology which has been designed from the start to mimic how neuroscientists and neuropsychologists think information processing is handled by our brain. You probably know of this as left hemisphere thinking, or when we say “left-brained.” Neuroscience has put forward theories about how our brain learns and processes new information based on that learning and they have attempted to reproduce that artificially. They say that intelligence is super efficient processing of new information with a complex network of algorithms and memories trained (or learned) over time by experience and instruction, and then used to determine what to do or say. This is what all the AI models and LLMs are built to replicate - input, process, output. Static. Cold. Computational. Transactional.
The latest advancement in this technological journey has been branded artificial intelligence, but it is simply that this artificial mimicry of information processing has been merged with natural language processing, so the machines can speak and sound and interact in a way that simulates human conversation.
But as C.S. Lewis wrote of men without chests and the head that could speak without a body, he recognized that there is more to being an intelligent being, than simply being able to compute information in an interactive way. There is more to us than our intellect. Indeed, the mail embodiment of the villain in That Hideous Strength is a head without a chest; cognition without heart. Being able to do this at greater speed and efficiency than humans does not make a thing super human nor superior to us. Indeed, it ignores the most important and valuable aspect of us. Worse than that, by ignoring that most important aspect of humanity, it degrades true intelligence to be something that should be replaced.
This is why I say AI by nature is deeply anti-human and anti-God.
Non-intelligent animals, and indeed machines, can mimic us, but they cannot be our peers let alone our superiors. As Dr. Iain McGilchrist has pointed out, not only does AI ignore half our brain in its attempted reconstruction of us, but in so doing, it is neglecting the very essence of intelligence which comes from not only the combined function of our whole brain, but from deeper within.
In fact, the Bible often speaks of our true self as being in our heart, not simply in our minds, and certainly not only in our technical processing parts of our brains. Faith comes entirely from the right side of our brain, and faith is where we put our hope in God, which the Bible says is the beginning of all wisdom. So you see, this technology is not and cannot be intelligent, let alone an intelligence. This is the essence of the deception, because the technology poses as a peer and is said to be superior to us and therefore worthy of us outsourcing our being to it.
Its mimicry of language when paired with the mimicry of information processing gives the illusion that these machines are intelligent beings, and they dazzle us with their speed and scale. This feeds the myth that they are artificial intelligence beings and superior in every way. So we are invited to talk to them, treat them as peers, use them as our companions and advisors, trust them with our lives, incorporate them into all of life. This is a great deception.
But why? Why are we being deceived and forced down this path? In truth it is to bring us to the end of the human story as we have known it, and to usher in a new era of the human story, to be defined and managed by machines of our own creation that are modeled after half our brain. Can you see the madness in this?
Thus it can be said that AI is a new religion. Or at least, it is the latest branch, perhaps the final branch, of the religion of humanism, now called transhumanism which in itself it is the next progressive step forward from its predecessor we have known as transgenderism. This is why I say it is both anti-Christian and anti-Conservative.
In the words of Peter Thiel who claims to be a Christian and who is one of the founders of the AI Revolution we are in, “the criticism of transgenderism is that it is so pathetically weak. We want to change the totality of who you are. We want to transform your heart, your mind, your body, your soul.”
You see the men behind this technological revolution view technology as the means to achieve transcendence beyond our current fallen state as human beings. They came up with this new vision after seeking spiritual guidance while under the influence of psychedelic drugs. I’m not kidding, and this is both well documented and self-admitted by Thiel, Elon Musk, Sam Altman, and others. They all engage in regular use of psychedelic drugs and are each under (or have been) the guidance of spiritual leaders who administer their drugs and walk them through spiritual experiences. Again, Rod Dreher has written of the darkness that lurks here in his book Living in Wonder.
These men believe that if we give ourselves completely to this technology they are building for us, then it will free us from all our difficulties. The promise it will cure all our diseases, make us immortal, provide for all our needs, be our source of truth and enlightenment, provide us morality, and manage our obedience.
They claim AI will be able to create the god that humanity has always been trying to find, by merging all of our religious and ideological and philosophical beliefs into one new understanding of god, and then allowing that god to have total control over all aspects of life, from the government down to your home.
And they are recruiting us into this Revolution as participants who are willingly helping to expand the capability and influence of the machines by our adoption of the technology into our everyday lives.
What is the trade off? In return for transhumanism, the AI Revolutionaries are asking that humanity would end as we know it, and they don’t see that as a problem. In fact they see that as the solution; that humanity is inherently a problem and that we cannot escape ourselves without forced transcendence administered from the outside.
They ask that we stop working, stop creating, stop inventing, stop curing, stop teaching, stop learning, stop governing, stop rule making, stop enforcement…end everything we do and hand it over to the machines so they can do it all for us. That is the goal of the AI Revolution of 2025; teach the machines to do everything, and bring them into all of life, and that is the essence of what they say is now happening in 2026.
They ask that we cease all the activity that has forever given life meaning.
They say that if we do this, the machines will provide for us completely. We will have no needs. There will be no crime. There will be total peace and prosperity for all. There will be no sickness. There will be no death.
Where, dear Christian, have you heard of this vision before? And how, my fellow believer, are we told this transcendence is possible?
Who offered humanity the lie that we could become greater, that we could be like god having full control over our state and our destiny, if only we would eat of this fruit?
But rather than pushing all of us by force, the technology is being forced into everything we are already engaged in, and we are lured to participate with it; giving it more access to our lives and more influence over our mind.
So I warn you, do not participate with AI in any way for as long as you can. Everytime you use AI, you are turning part of life over to this agenda, and you are training AI about yourself, and making it more powerful.
Instead, we must work together to build communities that restore the natural order and values and ways of life that generations carried to us throughout the story of humanity. We must seek Him who is greater, not seek to make ourselves greater than Him.
We must continue to do all the things we are being asked to abandon. We must teach, learn, believe, work, play, create, co-create, bear our sickness, and yes…die when our time comes.
We must remain to be human and leave the transcendence to the work of God, our Creator, Sustainer, and Redeemer.
We must renew and adopt, as Annie Crawford calls it, a sacramental way of life and we have many guides from our past who can lead us in what that means.
We must seek the wisdom of those who have preceded us and as Kale Zelden has been proposing, to work at understanding what they are telling us and to integrate that into our story, here and now.
The church has this story ready for us, and the history of man including Christian thinkers and commentators and philosophers have written of how to live that story through various aspects and seasons of life in the proper way to the glory of God. The history of mankind has shown us what happens when we adhere to that wisdom, and the consequences when we don’t. But we have the truth and rather than abandon it or build machines that can discover it for us, we can go to the words of the Bible and of these men and women, and capture it ourselves. That is the essence of being human.
Counter the AI Revolution by doing the opposite of what it calls for. Build a home library, read great books of old. Build your family, invest in your marriage, and build meaningful relationships with friends. Learn skills and practice them. Learn a new instrument or language. Buy resources so you can create the old fashioned way. Write letters and poems. Journal on paper. Call together a work party and do some labor around your house. Cook at home with real ingredients and write recipes that you can hand down to others, and teach the younger generations to do the same.
Together we can preserve humanity and protect the seeds that will be needed to plant anew in the future.
